Gusto Directory Sync
Learn about syncing your user list with Gusto
This guide outlines how to synchronize your application's Gusto directories.
To synchronize an Enterprise's Users and Groups provisioned for your application, you'll need to provide the Enterprise IT Admin with:
- A setup URL to authenticate requests for Users and Groups.
This is available in your Directory's Settings.
1Set up your Directory
Login to your WorkOS dashboard and select "Organizations" from the left hand Navigation bar
Select the Organization you'd like to enable a Gusto Directory Sync connection for.
On the Organization's page click "Add Directory".
You'll be prompted to enter the Company's Name, Domain, and additionally select "Gusto" from the "Directory Type Dropdown"
Then click "Create Connection"
2Provide the enterprise with a setup URL
Upon creation, your Directory will have a setup URL of the form:
Forward this URL to enterprise customers.
3Authenticate with admin credentials
Have the Enterprise IT Admin authenticate, and grant WorkOS permissions to access the account.
4Assign users and groups to your application
You will now see updates to the users in the directory under the 'Users' tab in the Gusto Directory Sync page in WorkOS.
