Learn about syncing your user list with Gusto

Introduction

This guide outlines how to synchronize your application's Gusto directories.

To synchronize an Enterprise's Users and Groups provisioned for your application, you'll need to provide the Enterprise IT Admin with:

  • A setup URL to authenticate requests for Users and Groups.

This is available in your Directory's Settings.

Set up your Directory

Click "Add new connection".

Input your Enterprise's name and domain. Select "Gusto" as the Directory type.

Then, click "Create directory."

Provide the enterprise with a setup URL

Upon creation, your Directory will have a setup URL of the form:https://api.gusto.com/oauth/authorize...

Forward this URL to enterprise customers.

Authenticate with admin credentials

Have the Enterprise IT Admin authenticate, and grant WorkOS permissions to access the account.
