With AuthKit enterprise logins are now easier than ever. We are announcing the addition of key B2B login providers, like LinkedIn, Slack, Xero, and more, giving your users seamless access to your platform with the credentials they already use.

It's Friday afternoon before a long weekend. Your sales team has spent months closing your next big enterprise customer. The contract is ready for signatures when suddenly you get an urgent chat message: "We need to support login with Slack or we can't close the deal!"

Without AuthKit, your weekend is ruined. You and the team scramble to add login with Slack. Engineering is upset with sales for uncovering this at the last minute. Sales is upset with engineering for not having already built this.

But you use AuthKit, so instead you reply, "No problem!" You log into the WorkOS dashboard, enable Slack as a login provider in 5 minutes, and the contract is signed before happy hour.

Today, we're expanding AuthKit to include 8 new login providers that matter to your enterprise customers:

  • LinkedIn
  • Slack
  • GitLab
  • Bitbucket
  • Xero
  • Rippling
  • ADP
  • Intuit

These join our existing providers (Google, GitHub, Microsoft, Apple) to create the most comprehensive authentication solution for B2B SaaS applications.

Why support multiple login providers?

By expanding our support to include a variety of B2B-focused login providers, we’re offering enterprise customers even more flexibility in how they manage authentication.

Organizations often use a range of tools for day-to-day operations, from communication platforms like Slack to HR management systems like Rippling. By supporting login options from these widely-used, industry-standard platforms, we enable businesses to leverage their existing infrastructure for authentication.

This means companies no longer need to create and manage separate logins for each service they use, leading to a smoother, more efficient experience for both administrators and users alike. It’s all about integrating with the tools that enterprises already rely on, reducing friction and streamlining workflows.

Attract the right customers by enabling work identity login

One of the key advantages of offering multiple login providers is that it allows your customers to start with their work identity. Many enterprise users prefer to authenticate using their corporate credentials, whether it's through LinkedIn, Slack, or Bitbucket, because it streamlines the onboarding process and aligns with their existing workflows. This helps businesses avoid friction during login and encourages more users to sign up and engage with your product.

Ultimately, this approach helps you attract the customers who are most likely to benefit from your platform: those with a professional, B2B-focused use case.

Unlock new business opportunities with key providers

Integrating login providers like Xero, Rippling, and ADP opens the door to new business opportunities with companies that rely heavily on these platforms.

For instance, Xero and Rippling are often essential tools for businesses managing finances, HR, and other critical operations. By supporting these login options, you make it easier for customers in those industries to adopt your platform, reducing the barriers to entry for key accounts. If that is not enough of a reason, for providers like these, it is mandatory. In order to integrate with them, you must support login with them as the identity provider.

These providers are commonly used in the enterprise space, and offering seamless login options ensures your platform is an easy fit into their existing tech stacks, making it more likely that potential customers will choose you.

Set up login providers in AuthKit

You can configure any of the supported login providers from the WorkOS dashboard.

Go to the Authentication tab, select the provider you want, and click Enable.

Once you enable the authentication method, you are need to add the details that will allow your app to communicate with the provider through WorkOS. These are the client ID and client secret that you will retrieve from the provider’s dashboard. The configuration process will vary based on the provider you choose. For LinkedIn, for example, you'll need a LinkedIn client ID and client secret. These credentials authenticate your app with LinkedIn's OAuth system. To make this even easier, we have fully documented how to set up each of these providers in the integrations section of our docs.

That’s it, you are all done! In your next AuthKit login you will see the option to login with the provider you just enabled.

Not finding what you need?

As part of our commitment to providing a flexible, customer-driven platform, we’re making it easier to request additional login provider integrations. While we’re launching with a curated list of enterprise-focused providers, we understand that different businesses have unique needs. That’s why we’re introducing a new section in the Authentication tab of the WorkOS dashboard that you can use to request support for a custom provider.

This new feature allows you to suggest additional login providers that you would like to see integrated into the platform. Simply submit your request through the card, and our team will review it. We’ll then work closely with you to assess the feasibility of the integration, and, if it's a good fit for the platform, we’ll prioritize its development.

We recognize that some of our customers may rely on specialized or industry-specific tools for their authentication needs, and we want to ensure that AuthKit can grow with your business. By making the provider request process more accessible, we’re empowering you to have a voice in the features that matter most to your organization.

Whether you're looking for a niche provider or need a particular service for compliance purposes, we want to help you make AuthKit even more tailored to your needs. We’re excited to collaborate with our customers to bring even more options to the platform.
