WorkOS raises $100M Series C, hits $2B valuation

I'm excited to share that WorkOS has raised $100 million in Series C financing, valuing the company at $2 billion. The round was led by Meritech and Sapphire, with participation from Audacious, Craft, Abstract, Greenoaks, and others.

The fastest-growing AI companies already use WorkOS, including OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Cursor, Perplexity, Sierra, Baseten, Fal, Replit, Vercel, Synthesia, Temporal, Gamma, Clay, Exa, Parallel, Serval, and many more. These teams hit enterprise requirements almost immediately. From day one, buyers expect SSO, SCIM, permissions, and auditability. WorkOS makes that possible.

We are entering a golden era for builders. As the marginal cost of writing code drops toward zero, we're seeing a wave of new software. More code is being written than ever before, and demand is rising just as quickly as companies race to adopt AI. The software lifecycle has compressed and what used to take years now takes months, weeks, or even hours.

Next come agents. In the near future, much of the software running inside organizations won't be operated directly by people at all. Yet every action will still need to be authenticated, authorized, and auditable. As intelligence becomes abundant and software becomes autonomous, trust becomes the constraint.

WorkOS was built for this moment. We began with authentication and have expanded into a broader platform that includes granular permissions, integrations, encryption, abuse detection, feature flags, MCP, and more. We've invested heavily in reliability and scale, with five nines of uptime across thousands of customers and billions of API requests each month.

This new funding allows us to accelerate the next phase: building what's needed to make agentic software secure and reliable by default. Whether you're vibe coding a weekend project or shipping an AI product to the largest organizations in the world, you can build faster and safer with WorkOS.

AI is changing what software can do. WorkOS makes it secure, scalable, and Enterprise Ready.

The only question left is: what will you build?
