WorkOS Event Code of Conduct

At WorkOS, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all participants at our events. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and the consequences of unacceptable conduct.

1. Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, organizers, volunteers, and other participants ("Event Members") at any WorkOS event, whether in-person or virtual.

2. Expected Behavior

Event Members are expected to:

  • Treat everyone with respect and consideration.
  • Communicate openly and thoughtfully, with empathy and kindness.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and event-specific rules and policies.

3. Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behaviors include, but are not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
  • Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, sponsor, organizer, or other participant.
  • Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or presentations.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

4. Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, WorkOS may take any action deemed appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the event without refund, and/or banning from future events.

5. Reporting Unacceptable Behavior

If you are subjected to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify a WorkOS staff member as soon as possible.

6. Addressing Grievances

If you feel you have been falsely or unfairly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you should notify WorkOS with a concise description of your grievance. Your grievance will be handled in accordance with our existing governing policies.

7. Scope

We expect all Event Members to abide by this Code of Conduct in all venues, including ancillary events and social gatherings associated with the event.
