Testing WorkOS in CI/CD
We've released @workos/emulate, an open-source local WorkOS API server for development and automated testing. Point any WorkOS SDK at the emulator to test your integration without making requests to your live WorkOS environment. You can seed users, organizations, memberships, RBAC, SSO connections, and more so that every test starts from a known state.
@workos/emulate also supports the end-to-end AuthKit experience, including SSO redirect and token exchange flows. It provides interactive login pages for browser tests and simulates WorkOS-compatible signed webhook events. You can also inject validation errors, simulated rate limits, and temporary failures to test unhappy paths and retry logic.
WorkOS Plugin for Claude and ChatGPT
You can now connect WorkOS to Claude or ChatGPT in a single click through their respective marketplaces. This allows you to manage your WorkOS environments directly via MCP across Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Codex. WorkOS team admins can control their team's access to make changes or access production environments via MCP in their team settings.
Pipes API Key Support
Pipes now supports providers that authenticate with API keys. Your users can connect tools that don't offer OAuth by entering an API key directly in the Pipes widget, and WorkOS stores it as a managed credential — the same way it manages OAuth tokens today.
Your integration code doesn't need to know the difference: the Pipes credentials API vends whichever credential type the provider uses, and rotating a key is a single idempotent API call. This opens up the long tail of SaaS tools that only offer API key authentication like Granola, Orb, and Plain.
Radar for User Management API Integrations
Radar now works with custom AuthKit UIs built on the User Management APIs. These APIs have been extended so you can pass the signals Radar needs to detect and block malicious or abusive traffic. Contact support in Slack or via email to enable this workflow.
